Frequently Asked Questions |
What is your standard price and are their discounts?
$120 for 50 minutes. Up to 10 medicare rebated sessions are available per calendar year. What is your average length of treatment? I have treated clients for various periods of time. The length and schedule of treatment always depends on a collaborative process between you and me. Why would you choose a psychotherapist? The purpose of psychotherapy is to raise a person's self-awareness through talking and reflecting, in order to become more conscious of the choices you make in your behaviour. How does the Group Therapy differ from Individual Therapy? Individual Psychotherapy is a personalised one-on-one space where, through talking, you can connect to yourself and your emotions. Therapeutic goals and needs are discussed and together, in the therapy relationship, these are developed and worked on. Group Psychotherapy, on the other hand offers individuals an opportunity to learn about themselves in a social setting. The group experience is a ‘here and now’ reflection of how we relate to others in a family, work or other social situation. Sometimes our current patterns of relating can leave us feeling isolated or misunderstood in relationships. Groups can provide feedback and insights, which assist in developing understanding and self-awareness about our personalities and how we relate to others. Group Psychotherapy can be useful for people who want to gain a deeper understanding of their interpersonal communication styles. It provides a unique, protected space where group members can practice new ways of communicating. What is your cancellation policy? At least 48 hours notice needs to be given, otherwise the full fee will be charged. |
